Overview

Fresh's Soy Face Cleanser is a very gentle, daily face wash formulated for all skin types to remove impurities and makeup, while also toning and hydrating your skin. It is Fresh's most popular cleanser, and it is designed with soy proteins and botanicals that help the skin retain moisture and maintain elasticity. Enriched with nourishing borage seed oil, the cleanser also contains rosewater and cucumber extract. Rosewater balances and tones your skin, while cucumber extract calms skin and provides a cooling effect. It is a fragrance-free formula, but the rosewater and cucumber extract make it smell great.

We give Fresh's Soy Face Cleanser an A- because it is a great cleanser for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It can remove makeup and impurities, while also toning and hydrating skin. We had to deduct points, however, because it is very expensive and may not perform much better than some drugstore brands.

The cleanser's active ingredient is soy protein, which provides amino acids that help maintain skin's moisture, elasticity and firmness. Additional important ingredients in the cleanser include borage seed oil for nourishment, as well as cucumber extract and rosewater. Cucumber extract is known for possessing powerful anti-inflammatory properties. It provides an immediate cooling effect and helps to calm skin. Rosewater is known for its calming, balancing and toning properties and helps to reduce redness in the skin.
Hand-held device features a dual action brush head that oscillates at a sonic frequency of over 300 movements per second. Directions

Reputation

Fresh's Soy Cleanser has received excellent reviews from customers on Sephora.com (4.5/5 out of 1493 reviews). I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and started to use this product after being on the Proactiv 3 Step System for many years. Proactiv was making my skin dry and irritated, so someone at Sephora recommended that I use the Soy Cleanser. For me, it doesn't eliminate the need for makeup remover and toner, but I still really love it. It cleans my face without stripping away moisture or causing breakouts. I did see some reviews that said you could get the same effect from a cheaper drugstore brand, but I've yet to find a less expensive replacement. I definitely recommend this cleanser to friends and family with similar skin types.
