Overview

Developed by Philips, the Sonicare Flexcare+ is a rechargeable electric toothbrush that works to improve your brushing habits and to help fight against gum disease. It uses sonic technology to deliver up to 31,000 strokes per minute and provides a deep but gentle cleaning action between your teeth and along your gum line. Depending on your individual needs or preferences, you can customize your experience by choosing between 5 cleaning modes and 5 different brush heads (2 are included with purchase). You will also receive 3 different color brush head rings, so you can share the base with your family members. The Flexcare+ has a 2-minute timer that goes off in 30-second intervals to make sure you have spent enough time brushing each quadrant of your mouth. When you are finished brushing, the Flexcare+ also has a built-in UV brush head sanitizer that kills up to 99% of bacteria and viruses on the brush head in only 10 minutes (E coli, S. mutans and Herpes simplex). Philips claims that the FlexCare+ removes up to 83% of plaque in hard-to-reach areas and is proven to improve gum health in only 2 weeks.

You can purchase the Flexcare + toothbrush on www.usa.philips.com, and it has a suggested retail price of $190.

Product Report Card Grade

We give the Sonicare Flexcare+ an A- because it features the most advanced sonic technology and provides a deep and thorough clean, even in hard-to-reach areas. The toothbrush is also compatible with multiple brush heads and can operate in 5 different cleaning modes, so you can easily customize your brushing routine. Additionally, it comes with a UV brush head sanitizer and has a built-in timer to help you brush each quadrant of your mouth for the recommended amount of time. We had to deduct a few points because it is very expensive, but, if you can afford it, the Sonicare Flexcare+ is the best way to improve your overall dental health.

Sonic Care Tooth Brush
Review submitted: 2013-10-10
I brush with the sonic care twice daily. How ever I feel that my teeth are not quit clean yet. Most times I brush for a min with my Oral B tooth brush. Then I floss with a floss pick, and rise with Listerine. My Dentist says that I have very healthy teeth. We orginally got the sonic care for my daughter who is 11. She has a very hard time brushing her teeth right. It has improved her over all dental health care. I really like the timer and how it tells you to switch. I also like the different settings as well. I kind of feel that the head for it is a little to small for adults. It would be great if it included the tongue cleaner on the back of the head. I have the diamond clean head and I like the fact that it changes color when it is time to replace it. Over all I was kind of disappointed in the product for how much it cost. There are many things that I like about it but I truly don't feel like my teeth are clean after I get done brushing my teeth. It feels like there is still build up on my teeth. I love it for my 11 year old who did a very poor job at brushing her teeth.

A wonderful electric toothbrush for cleaning and whitening
Review submitted: 2013-10-03
I love my sonic care electric toothbrush with the built in sanitizer. It is so much easier to clean as well compared to my old sonic care elite toothbrush with the circular cup toothbrush heads. I feel my teeth are whiter and cleaner from using twice a day. I have even been complimented by my dental hygenist at my dentist's office. I use the brush in the morning and again at night. I also floss after each meal and I also use a gum stimulator with a rubber tip manually once a day for a few minutes. I try to take great care of my teeth and gums and also watch what I eat to maintain good oral health. I go to the dentist as well each six months and have my teeth cleaned as well while there. My toothbrush is a big part of my good oral health.
