Overview

We give the Moen Arbor™ 7594 kitchen faucet an A because it is a versatile design that offers excellent functionality and durability at a great price. We also like that the spout can rotate 360°, that the handle can be installed on the right- or left-hand side and that the pulldown sprayhead is equipped with a touch pad to pause water flow or switch between spray and aerated flow. It’s also nice that the Arbor™ 7594 is available with MotionSense™ technology and is part of a collection with four different models, including one size that works well as a bar or secondary sink faucet. Overall, we think the Arbor™ 7594 is one of the best kitchen faucets in this price range, but we deducted just a few points because we saw a couple of complaints about the design quality of the swivel sprayhead.

You can see how the Moen Arbor™ 7594 kitchen faucet compares to other kitchen faucets in our Kitchen Faucets Review.

Specifications

Construction

Like all of the models in the Arbor™ series, the 7594 kitchen faucet has a tough metal construction, high-arching spout and a single ADA-compliant lever handle. It is available in a deckplate or non-deckplate mounting for one or three-hole sinks, and it also meets low lead requirements for California (ab1953) and Vermont (s152). In terms of valves, it features Moen's 1255™ Duralast™ cartridges. Exceeding the industry's durability standards, these cartridges will maintain the handle's smooth and precise control over water flow and temperature for years. The 7594 faucet has a maximum flow rate of 1.5 gpm (at 60 psi). However, if you get the 7594 faucet with MotionSense™ technology, it will have a maximum flow rate of 2.0 gpm and is categorized as an "eco-performance product" by Moen, meaning that it will use up to 32% less water without compromising its overall performance. In terms of warranty, Moen offers a Lifetime Limited Warranty for faucets used in normal residential settings as long as the original purchaser of the faucet owns their home. Moen guarantees that the faucet will be "leak- and drip-free during normal use and [that] all parts and finishes of [the] faucet will be free from defects in material and manufacturing workmanship." If you purchase the 7594 faucet with MotionSense™ however, please note that Moen only offers a 5-year warranty on electronics. Faucets used commercial settings are covered by a 5-year warranty.

Bonus Features

The Arbor™ 7594 kitchen faucet has a pulldown sprayhead that is designed with Moen's Reflex™ technology. To create Reflex™, Moen carefully observed how people used (or wanted to use) their kitchen faucets and then leveraged their renowned design expertise to incorporate their findings into the new technology. The result is an exceptionally ergonomic sprayhead wand that Moen claims is "at least 40% easier to unlatch and extend". The 68" hose is extremely flexible and the nozzle is positioned on a swivel, so you can quickly and comfortably reach any corner of your sink and beyond. For additional convenience, the sprayhead wand also features a touch pad control system where you can adjust the water flow (pause, spray or aerated flow) while you are holding it. You can also switch between spray and aerated flow while the wand is retracted. In addition to having a lever handle, the 7594 can also come equipped with MotionSense™ technology, which allows you to turn on the faucet by waving your hand under or on top of the spout. The faucet doesn't have a high temperature limit, but it does feature temperature memory settings, so it will stay at the same temperature when turned on/off. Lastly, Moen also sells has two different size soap/lotion dispensers available in matching styles/finishes.

Style and Design

Moen's Arbor™ kitchen faucet collection is made up of four faucets models, including the 7594, which have been crafted with superior style, ergonomics, functionality and durability in mind. While the Arbor™ faucets differ from each other in terms of size, sprayer and flow rate, they are all designed in a transitional style with gracefully arching spouts and an attached single lever handle that can be mounted on either side of the spout.

The spout on all of the Arbor™ kitchen faucets can also rotate 360°, which allows for superior clearance when filling/cleaning large or oversized pots/dishes. The 7594 kitchen faucet is available in five different finishes including Matte Black, Chrome, Classic Stainless and Oil Rubbed Bronze and Spot Resist™ Stainless (pictures in order below).

Customer Feedback

Customer feedback on the Moen Arbor™ 7594 kitchen faucet has been overwhelmingly positive, and it is definitely the most popular model in the collection. It has received a 4.5/5 on Amazon.com (183 reviews), a 4.8/5 on Build.com (175 reviews) and a 3.9/5 on Moen.com (35 reviews). Since the 7594 with MotionSense™ technology was only recently released, there aren’t many customer reviews, but the few ratings that I did see were near perfect.

Overall, customers are delighted with the look, quality, functionality and performance of the Arbor™ 7594 faucet. Numerous reviews mentioned that the instruction manual was very straightforward, and the faucet was quick and easy to install (less than one hour). With that said, if this is your first attempt at plumbing, you probably want to do a little research ahead of time or just save yourself the hassle by calling a professional. In general, negative comments on any of the models were few and far between. While not Moen’s fault, there were a few unhappy customers who didn’t realize the faucet was too large for their sink space. I would definitely encourage you to closely compare the faucets’ measurements to your kitchen/sink area before purchasing one to ensure that it will fit. There were also a few complaints on the pivoting sprayhead, which some customers felt had a flimsy design and was unnecessary.

Given Moen's reputation for providing high quality products, excellent customer service and the Lifetime Limited Warranty, it sounds to me like any of the faucets in the Arbor™ collection would be an excellent investment for your home kitchen if you have enough space. Personally, I am hoping to get the 7594 model the next time I buy a new faucet and maybe even one with MotionSense™ technology if I can afford it. I absolutely love the hands-free aspect of it for convenience and cleanliness, especially when working with foods potentially carrying bacteria like raw chicken.
